This is where technology should be taking the lead.

The AtProto makes all activity transparent, when hooked up to a firehose it's pretty trivial to identify content that belongs to a moderation list.

The tools exist, it's just down to someone using them.

Following on from the last post - moderation lists let you dictate your experience on the platform.

If you don't want to see a certain kind of content from a certain kind of person, you don't have to. There's probably a moderation list for what you want already.

If not? Make one! It's that easy.

The nature of the AtProto means that the bluesky moderation team can only really censor people they don't like.

Run a PDS and that's it, you're kinda untouchable.

Some users have taken this into their own hands by DOSing profiles - crafting unrenderable names & replying to their targets.

So, currently, 10.followers.1.following.5.posts.pnly.io

Good idea?

If you're curious how I got my handle, I have a wildcard DNS record for *.pnly.io with my AtProto ID.

This means I can make my handle literally.anything.i.want.at.any.time.pnly(.)io

You can do this too, getting a domain on CF costs maybe $20/year. Not bad for infinite handles.

AtProto makes private data impossible, firehoses don't require consumers to accept the BSKY TOS through any affirmative action, there is no legal way to prevent scraping for any cause.

By design, everything you post is accessible without authentication or authorization.

Think before you post.
