So true though. I have a bigger piece that I've definitely partitioned into smaller elements to keep from just giving up entirely! I was just curious because I always see people talk about the hours put into their pieces and realized I had never bothered to keep track!

I'm timing how long a cross stitch piece takes me for the first time and it's been twenty five hours over the last few days and I'm not done yet?? I don't think I'm a particularly slow stitcher!! It's a full coverage piece but only like 3 by 5 inches. Cross stitch isn't hard but it does take FOREVER

A big pink eraser with most of it carved away except for what is supposed to be a depiction of a bundle of sage leaves, tied with a string that loops around and ends with a threaded needle. The outline is black with ink. Next to it is a piece of paper stamped with the leaf bundle multiple times, with the closest one being labeled Sage Marie Stitched

So I have no reason to use this. And perhaps I am jumping the gun a little. But I got very excited and made up a little logo and carved it into a 50¢ eraser as a stamp. I've only tried my hand at block carving once before so I'm pretty pleased with it 🩷🌿

A couple recent finishes! The idea for a tamagotchi hoop was from @ribbonthing.bsky.social bc she's a genius and then the anglerfish came to me in a dream. Making weensy earrings or keychains has been incredibly satisfying (also these are up on my mercari shop now js www.mercari.com/u/sagemaries...)

Big bummed because something in my PlayStation software corrupted and required reinstallation, so everything is just wiped :// I wasn't in the middle of any one game but I had a lot of progress in most of them. Big bummed!!!!
