A Little Gull flying over water to catch insects. The bird is just about to turn, which means you can clearly see the black underwing, with white edges. This bird is just starting to gain its summer plumage, which means it doesn't have a full black hood yet.

There's either nothing doing, or it's all go from a #UKBirding perspective in Bedfordshire. A cracking group of 5 Little Gulls dropped into Broom GPs early this afternoon (noted by Matt K), before departing north after approx 45 minutes of flycatching. I never knew they hunted Coots though 🙂

It's easy Chris + I've never had to download anything else. Just open your file, then analyse. A bit of tweaking with settings to get a decent confidence etc. It's not perfect, but it saves heaps of time.

Birds don't have to be rare to give enjoyment (for me anyway). Spent about 20 minutes today watching this Reed Bunting, singing its heart out, in the warm (and very welcome) sunshine #UKBirding

74 Catbirds in a fairly small clump of brush/trees, next to gardens (SC, during Fall migration) is one of the wildest birding things I've ever seen.

What type of Yuengling? Black + tan is probably my favourite beer 🍻

I was only 10 minutes away from Lanark when I saw news of someone (thank you!) finding a bean goose sp with Pinkfeet. Went for a look, and it turned out to be a Tundra #BirdingScotland

Spent some time trying to find any White-billed Divers upriver of the Forth Bridges with no luck, so nipped across to Inverkeithing and saw 2 of 3 in that area #BirdingScotland #BirdsSeenIn2026

No John, I was there later + my wife isn't a birder (to put it very mildly) 🙂 I did speak to that couple though, who kindly put me onto the 1st bird.

1 of these had a flatty so big earlier this afternoon that it took about 10 minutes to finally get it down John.
