Having teens is like working the first shift at a restaurant when the previous night a party of 20 showed up 10 mins before close and stayed for an hour, and the closing shift didn't have time to clean up.

When it's prescriptive, it is defining something that must be done. Like how a doctor writes a prescription (take 2 pills 3 times daily).

Take John 3:16 for example, it reads very different depending on whether you read it descriptively or prescriptively.

When reading scripture you need to ask "is this text prescriptive or descriptive"?

When something is descriptive it is describing something i.e., an aspect of God or a means in which God does something.

Also yeah, that would be blasphemy and it's very weird you're assuming I said that. Go be weird somewhere else.

There's nothing like being in ministry, seeing issues in the church, confronting the church leadership, resigning your position but then being told you were gonna be let go anyway because you don't share the same eschatology as the pastor.
