"Isu... Aren't you suffering, too?" Is a scene that touched me in such a specific way. Isu gives so much to her mother, to her brother, and all she gets in return is cruelty and dismissal. She sees no love from them, compared to Eunbyeol and Seongha desperately trying to make sure she's okay.

similar to Isu in many ways, someone who is also outcast from her family. Something about her looking at Isu, and telling her, "You can break the cycle. Your mother won't change. I remember how she was with me. You're similar to me. She will not change for you."

that she didn't sacrifice herself, or even parts of herself, sooner to save them.

Something about this just... Gets to me a little. There is something about the way that Good Night, See You In My Dreams, has held this mysterious figure in its story for so long, someone we could have gathered is

She told her family. And her family's response was, "Well, why didn't you do that sooner? You let us all suffer, when you could have just done that?"

They didn't offer any care for her sacrifice. For what she had been through. No apologies for how they disregarded her in the past. Only criticism

but awful things kept happening around her. To her loved ones. Because she wasn't allowing herself to be possessed. She didn't want to risk it get worse, or see it keep happening, so eventually, for the first time, she allowed a spirit to possess her.

She tells Isu not to wait for her (abusive) family to change. That she's lived in that environment and broke out. She tells her about her own struggles, how, for the longest time, she could see spirits--but nobody believed her. She refused to let herself be possessed by a spirit,

I reached the part where Isu finally gets to talk to her aunt with Seongha and Eunbyeol, and went a little past that. But what really got to me was how Isu's aunt spoke to these kids.

I read a massive amount of Good Night, See You In My Dreams last night, because 50-some chapters in and I just couldn't put it down... 💭

I'm also a really big fan of horror games! Rule of Rose is an all-time favorite of mine, and I have a lot of fond memories surrounding playing it.
