Recently, I've somehow been overcome with the need to see/draw Ochako pegging Katsuki. Because the only dynamic that grips me with them is Baku being her bottom bitch and/or her being the more dom (regardless of who shoves what in who). ;w; Didn't help re-finding this unfinished thing lol

I'm also afraid of that for getting into new fandoms. We've beaten antis back in MHA to where I feel they're a small nuisance who are swiftly shut down.

I don't know if other fandoms will be as open to ship and let ship, fiction is not real, you are responsible for avoiding your triggers mindset.

I miss the tight-knit, thriving community we used to have, too. IDK that we can get that back, but I can't help but wish it!

Life is definitely preventing a lot of folks from engaging the way they want I think. Hopefully, things start to come for people, but who knows. 😭

That's fair! I meant to include KRBK, but as an event runner for the past couple of years, there definitely are not as many non popular pairing zines anymore. Kacchako has lessened, KRBK seems to be hanging on, and DKBK doesn't seem to have slowed down much.

Zines (outside of BKDK) seem to be fading in MHA as well. Ramble all this to say, if you want to apply for a zine, you should! Gentle reminder that if rejection is going to really hurt you, weigh to pros and cons of applying.

This ended up being longer than I thought lol.

With zines, I'm at a point where I need to be invited as a guest, or I have to be willing to buy/support the zine even if I didn't get in, or it's allowing all people. That cut down a lot on even applying for zines because rejection from them was killing my confidence.

I also try to tell myself that it's a lot of networking, and the popular folks were mostly here before I got into a pairing. They were there when the pairing wasn't as popular, so it makes sense they have more interaction. Definitely doesn't make it any less frustrating, though! I get it. 💞

Absolutely, I want feedback and to see people enjoying my stories! But to prevent getting down on myself for seeing the same folks get crazy feedback, I try to have at least 10 chapters (if it's that long) for multi-chapters before posting because a lack of response could kill my motivation.

Hi Nelly! My IRL is crazy too, so I get that. I've ventured away from Kacchako for a while, but I have some WIPs I want to get off my plate this year for them. 💗🧡

Honestly, I've learned after writing fanfiction for 20+ years that I have to write for me first.
