I knew as soon as he announced he was making a feature film that people were chomping at the bit to tear him down. Ever since his "I'm not doing any negative reviews" video all the worst kinda people made him enemy #1. He's a well established YT critic who succeeded. Some ppl can't tolerate that.

Every couple of years I get on another Stephen King re-read kick & one novel that has yet to see much of a reappraisal is DREAMCATCHER - one of my hills to die on with King.
Many of the criticism are totally valid, but god, its like being able to freebase a writer's unfiltered creative id.

I don't often have a kneejerk negative reaction to stuff like this but gosh, The plot details in The Daily Beast review made my eye twitch. Then I pulled a Squidward from that one episode of SpongeBob:

It just sounds so cynical - there IS great potential with adapting the Interludes from the novel. A kind of Derry anthology series, but they concoct this truly bizarre & utterly stupid sounding plot revolving around Pennywise & just redoing The Loser's Club and all that, urgh.

I try not to poo-poo things too much on here, but I just read a review on what WELCOME TO DERRY is really about and the only thing that popped into my mind was a huge, bold, all caps declaration of:
W H A T.
I need to watch it now just to see wtf they were thinking.
