True. But overall it's no big loss. I'm not the biggest steelbook guy. But a nice library style set with all of the OG artwork on each individual film is pretty nifty. But at the end of the day its the films themselves that matter most. I'll probably just get the standard set.

I was all in on the MCU too. But when it lost me it REALLY lost me. I wore out on it during it's critical & commercial height though, Phase 3, lol. Civil War, Homecoming, and Ragnarok REALLY disappointed me in different ways. From there my engagement in it has been very conditional.

It's also just the sheer glut of it all, too. Not even 20 years in yet, and the MCU has has more feature films than GODZILLA - a franchise that is 70 years old. Add the shows into that and...jeez.

I know why I've been in such a movie watching slump this year, I've significantly cut back on my schlock viewing recently! Some good old fashioned trash cinema is just the kick in the pants I need!
SOV horror sounds like it'll go down good right about now.

This entire movie is like looking in on somebody else's fever dream. It feels like it takes place in a sweaty, swampy, pervy snow globe of violence and dysfunction.

I love it.

One of the best crime films of the 70s.

The difference is: SUPERMAN is written & directed by James Gunn & feels like an earnest expression from a filmmaker with a voice. FANTASTIC FOUR is just another MCU film - timid and safe. It's sturdier than most recent offerings, but seems too afraid to step a toe out of line.

Wake me up when they make a ROM: THE SPACE KNIGHT movie.
