As a classic wrestling fan? It’s genuinely amazing to finally watch Chi-Town Rumble 89 as originally intended as a complete show and not just Flair vs Steamboat. Wow. Things have changed so much since then. Honestly? I wish more modern stuff felt like this. #wrestlesky

Even if you don't think this movie belongs in the Criterion Collection, this is still very good news. This will be a big seller and set a good precedent for direct to streaming movies getting premium physical disc releases.

Remember this after Netflix buys out Warner Bros.

you can enjoy a show, draw art of it, bond with others over it etc but you have to keep your head on straight. it's just a show. and if it becomes the most important thing in your life that's a major problem

ever notice how every giant fandom becomes a toxic cesspool full of drama and resentment towards the creator of the work they're all obsessing over, hmm almost like centering your life around a piece of media is not healthy

the anime "filler episode" was a real and very specific thing that largely died in the 2000s. the way the phrase "filler episode" was interpreted by anime fans-- "anything that does not move plot forward"-- became a contagious disease that did immense damage to serialized storytelling as a whole

I’m a very lucky man to have both of these. Very stylistically different. But they both sound amazing. Satriani in particular sounded literally perfect. I could have been persuaded it was the master recording for Pete’s sake it was that good.

It honestly feels like thanks to a wish from a genie, English Lupin fans finally have our own version of the late 2000s Italian dub. The outright definitive version. Now if only we could get a Fuma dub.

If only. In all honesty? Even though I’ve only probably watched this new dub twice? It’s already THE dub for me. I already have to fight the urge to watch it obsessively as is. I think the thing that helps is the crew honestly feel like themselves. This is the most Lupin Caggy dub in now it feels.
