4 Velvet Scoters flying pat Dungeness Point into Lade Bay

Dungeness: A Little Owl that came out of the Lighthouse Garden is the first I have seen this far down the peninsula since one in 2012. 4 Velvet Scoter were the highlight of this afternoons sea watch.

Dungeness: Stephen Message found a superb Pallas's Warbler in the Gully early afternoon and quickly alerted the locals, fortunately I was at home so was on site with Stephen a few minutes later. As usual it was very active and difficult to follow with the camera.

Dungeness RSPB: A curlew Sandpiper from Firth

Dungeness: A few bits from around the peninsula today. Shag is still a scarce bird here, this one showing well at the fishing boats. One of 3 Glossy Ibis around the reserve today. At least 1 Garganey still hanging on, this one on Burrowes and the local Little Owl sun bathing.

Dungeness: The definite highlight of this afternoons sea watch with Richard from the fishing boats. The USS Gerald R Ford Aircraft Carrier an impressive ship covered in aircraft, escorted by USS Winston S Churchill.

Buff-breasted Sandpiper flushed by a Merlin. Flew 1 circuit then landed back at exactly the same spot.

Another visit to the Scotney BBS which was showing rather well this morning, I didn't arrive till 11.00 and not another person till young Jack arrived around midday🤷‍♂️ A super smart little bird!
