Ethmia bipunctella (Bugloss Moth)

Numbers this morning in my VC15 moth trap were as expected low, a pristine Bordered Straw probably hasn't travelled far. The star for me was new for trap Lobesia reliquana a rather attractive micro. Ethmia bipunctella still appearing in and around the trap in good numbers.

A lovely to see a Beautiful Marbled in my VC15 trap, first of the year, also of note for me a Copper Underwing only the second for my trap although common on the peninsula. A Gem, a Bordered Straw by the trap + the usual DSGs, Noctuella and Xylostella. @migrantmothuk.bsky.social

In the last week I have picked 3 dead Greenfinches off the grass in the garden.😒 None appear to have been injured by cat or Hawk or flown into a window, unlike the young Goldfinch that hit my window yesterday, after an hour being kept safe on my hand it flew off strongly.πŸ˜€
