Twee grazende Nijlganzen aan de oever van rivier De Noord. In de verte op de achtergrond is industrie van Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht (links) en Alblasserdam (rechts) te zien.

Een zwemmende meerkoet in rivier De Noord, met op de voorgrond donkere basaltblokken. Het water golft een beetje doordat er een aardig hard windje staat.

Vanmiddag naar rivier De Noord gewandeld met m'n camera om m'n nek en voor het eerst in zwart-wit gefotografeerd. Levert hele mooie, tijdloze en verstilde plaatjes op. #blijmee

Eens, mei 1940 is hét voorbeeld dat (terug)vechten nooit zinloos is: met 16 Fokkers (onze totale luchtmacht) zijn tientallen Messerschmitts uit de lucht geschoten. De blitzkrieg liep door de weerstand van de Rotterdamse mariniers (te)veel vertraging op (vandaar het bombardement van Rotterdam).

I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.
