Musician Kirsty MacColl died #onthisday in 2000. It's difficult to believe it's been 25 years. We were proud to conduct her humanist funeral, in accordance with her wishes. This Christmas marks the third year without Shane MacGowan and Kirsty MacColl, but still, their voices live on❤️

Dame Stephanie 'Steve' Shirley, technology pioneer, dies aged 91 She founded the software company Freelance Programmers in 1962, which almost exclusively hired women, and in later life donated almost £70m of her fortune.

Stephanie Shirley is perhaps one of the lesser known tech pioneers, but she shouldn't be. Back in the 60s she saw the potential for women in tech, setting up a company for them to code from home, going by the name Steve because it was a man's world. RIP Dame Shirley

I suspect Marion has died of old age waiting for this bloody documentary to be finished. Wonder if LTW will then pivot to The Woman: The Movie - the 'dramatisation' of Carrie's novel in which nothing appears to happen except Aidan dies of smallpox.

They've given Charlotte something to do that isn't just falling over for comedic effect. Although still nothing more for LTW than the never-ending doco, high fashion wardrobe and demanding family.
