In the background, a very angry Crustle (Pokémon) stands, readying a rock to throw, as a Dwebble (Pokémon) sits on its shell looking sad.

Was talking about Pokémon with @morganelefay.bsky.social who is playing Pokémon Lazarus, some strong words were spoken about Dwebble... And the next Pokémon they encounter was a Crustle.
Too perfect to pass up really. Mephala and Eyebie show the dramatic reenactment.

Cordon bleu to cook in 15 minutes in one pan, leek and mushrooms in another pan, salt pepper and soy sauce...
But the cutting floored me. Can only think of bagged veggies to make it easier, would definitely love more ideas 🫶

Slow but steady, it sucks losing being able to do things normally, but being able to find ways to do them your way is always a win. You got this, we got this, one step at a time!

I will try cooking again. Have to, I got the ingredients and I hate throwing food out. But I got a solid reminder of why I take the easy way with food.
I don't have the energy for cooking (regularly) yet, it hurts, but I WILL figure out how to make the prep less painful.

I've been living on microwave meals and oven dishes for a long time because at least I'll get something healthy without the stress cooking and preparing to cook brings.
And yes, if you know your microwave meals, a lot of the Dutch ones are actually healthy and honestly tasty.

Today I properly cooked for the first time in years.
Food was good. My body is reminding me harshly why I don't DO that stuff.
40 minutes of prep+cooking for 5 minutes of payoff doesn't feel fair, plus the shoulder and back pain that are developing from cutting veggies and standing still? Fuck. 1/?
