Definitely agree with Nice House & Poison Ivy. I'd say Krakoan X-Men comics leaned into fantasy as a response: an island for you and all your friends, magic gates that lead anywhere, and resurrection. I remember some of the writers talking about this

Transphobes who get mad about pronouns are weak. I speak Vietnamese. The pronoun I use for myself and the person I’m talking to or about depends on how old I am, how old they are, whether they’re a relative, whether they’re related to my mom or my dad, gender, and more. There are over 20 of them.

First time watch of SWAMP THING (1982) by Wez Craven. Sure it's not "good" but it's got a fabulous shot of a man on fire, a swamp pig wielding a sword, glowing green science juice, a little hairy goblin man, and Swampy is sad that he can't do science. Lovely stuff 👍🌱

John Wick movies are so funny, man. He goes into like a noodle shop and says “I’d like something…spicy” and a Chinese guy puts his hand into a big pot of broth and pulls out an AR-15 and says “enjoy your meal, Mr Wick” and then John has a fight in the New York Museum of Hatchets
