ROC THE JAM welcomes artists, musicians, developers and game makers from the Rochester area. Come by yourself and find others to work with, or come with a team ready to ROC(K). The jam site will have space for group work; computers with drawing tablets and internet access. There will be folks on hand throughout the weekend to provide support. Location: RIT MAGIC Spell Studios - Room 2150 Friday, January 30 - 6PM-10PM Saturday, January 31 - 8AM-10PM Sunday, February 1 - 8AM-6PM

I met some of the developers at PAX East 2014 or 2015 (or maybe both?) and at sone point we realized we were all from Rochester. So I started wondering, why don’t we have a game convention?

So congrats on the anniversary Workinman/Bread Machine! I’m going to fire up some Deathstate in your honor!

Can’t believe I almost missed this, but Deathstate is a huge part of #ROC game dev history!

Not only is it a great roguelike… not only did it do single-stick shooting years before Vampire Survivors… but it was also part of the inspiration for #ROCGameFest!
