Assuming this chart's accuracy, I can imagine only two ways to square it:

(a) AOC and her primary voters are shifting left together relative to her district overall, or

(b) the district overall is shifting right and Democrats represent a shrinking share of it.

There many whose foray into politics consisted of forming a cult-like attachment to Obama, only to blame him for obstruction by the GOP (& the now-gone blue dog Dems). Some then turned hating Dems into a personality, hence attachments to politicians who attack Dems, e.g., Bernie, AOC, later Mamdani.

To the extent Americans are dissatisfied with American immigration, it's mostly that they don't like what the media has convinced them of: that we have too many immigrants, the border is permeable, and that violent undocumented people run rampant.

I mean politically. I support radically lowered restrictions on immigration and the end to visa quotas, but America is not there yet. The polls don't show us. And that's okay, I'm allowed to disagree with my neighbors and their votes are allowed to outnumber mine.

Mamdani is right, here, we do need Continuous Campaigning, but the reality is that you can't just run flashy videos online, eventually you have to get things done!
