Founded in 1895, the Presidio Golf Course has seen some of the most historic moments in the park. President Roosevelt came to the golf course in 1903, and personally asked the 9th Cavalry Buffalo Soldiers, led by Captain Charles Young, to provide escort and security during his stay.

Today, the Presidio Golf Course is one of the top public golf courses in the country with more than 65,000 rounds of golf played at the golf course every year, and it’s a beautiful place for a wedding, and a fun place to enjoy a pub quiz (at Ironwoods Bar & Grill).
