A friend of mine โ and a great photographer โ passed away recently. I came across an old negative from a trip we took together. The images on the right are the very next frame on the film strip. At first, the sequence seems meaningless โ until it means everything.

Great advice. I agree 100%. The creative spontanious part of the process should be free from analyzing thoughts and concepts. There is plenty time for that once the film is developed.

During my assignments I made hundreds of pointless images not related to anything I was working on at that time. Surprisingly it is those photographs, shot for no reason or intention, that catch my eye after so many years. Lesotho 1997.
