A 92-year-old man has gone on trial accused of a murder that happened more than half a century ago.
The trial has begun of 92 year old Ryland Headley - charged with the rape and murder of elderly widow Louisa Dunne in Bristol in 1967
Remarkably, a case spanning nearly 6 decades

So it’s been suggested this is actually more likely to be the 1935 silver jubilee of George V - and the men are dressing up.
Hence the slight weirdness of various outfits, cigarettes, facial hair etc. Still haven’t seen much in the way of similar photos so v interested to hear if you have.

I’m aware Queen Victoria’s jubilees weren’t universally celebrated but haven’t seen images showing much in the way of protest in England.
If indeed it is a photo of protest at that time…

At first glance it looks Victorian era but not my area of expertise.
