Growlery's YouTube channel finally broke 100 subscribers! A small milestone, but it's good to have evidence of a growing audience. The YT audience is not the consumers for Growlery's games, but it still helps.

Now that I've acknowledged it, I can brace for the unsubs to bring me back down.

Now that the last planned update to Risk & Riches is out, I'm considering doing a postmortem.

I spoke to some students today about game and software development. Hopefully, I inspired a few and scared off a few more.

Absolutely!

I played Civ 7 last night and I like it. There are some things that I hope to get updated (e.g. additional map sizes, teams for multiplayer). But honestly, I don't get the harsh reactions that some have had. A few big changes do take getting used to, but they're interesting for now.

That's awful, and I'm sorry. I hope to be watching your next video soon!

I heard the stuff on my desk rattle a couple of times, and I looked outside for heavy equipment driving by, but there was nothing. I thought I was losing it for a bit.

Given everything that's happened recently, this made me laugh. Forget about his affinity for Nazis, did you hear he cheats at games?

Adding some animations and replacing fonts, then updating the Steam Page for Risk & Riches in preparation for Next Fest.

There's a lot to say about today, but the sad news I have to share is that I just learned I'm too heavy to go to space, lol.

No, it usually works out fine.

For work, I use a Kanban board with a date for when a set of tasks should be completed. I use Jira, so the set of tasks is an "Epic" with a version number or descriptive title.

For personal stuff, anything with a particular date and time is on a digital calendar, everything else is just in my head.

It's pure joy when you've been playtesting your own game for five days straight after developing it for almost a year, and you still can have fun with it.

Ended up catching 'Maybe Happy Ending' last night, and it was great! I'm not really into musicals, but it was a great story of two retired helper bots learning to live their own lives and it gave me some new game ideas.

Heading to NYC for a few days to see All In with the wife, then dipping before New Years Eve.

I added the last core feature to my game this morning, and I'm now focusing on polish; starting with a simple intro cutscene. Feeling great!
