whiteboard filled with planning for experiential rework
Back to work(flow):
1. iMessage feedback β whiteboard
2. Whiteboard β voice memo
3. Voice memo β transcription
4. Transcription β AI summary
5. AI summary β Linear tasks
6. Tasks β Prioritized + delegated to agents
Next time: polish less, ask more questions π
Thanks to agentic development, reworking the experience was a cinch.
If Iβd hand-written all the code, the mental gymnastics to keep it wouldβve put Cirque du Soleil to shame.
Then the feedback came in:
> The image generation felt unnecessary.
Boom. Weight lifted. Bye Felicia. Or more specifically, bye Monet Memory generator ποΈπΌοΈπ₯
But with this came many new challenges.
- Long processing times to maneuver experientially
- Potential inaccuracies and poor first impressions.
- Cost (~4 cents an image!) #DoThingsThatDontScale
I started to lose sight of the core flows and mission because of this enhancement.
With just the first 3, the experience felt awfully text-heavy (like this thread!)
So I added visuals. And I miiiightβve overinvested.
But it was a ton of fun molding it to my liking!Β Wouldn't it be nice if we no longer had to pull out our cameras in the moment?
Quick context - the product lets you:
1. Capture a written moment
2. Dig deeper into it
3. Build a story around it
4. Generate a visual of it
But one piece of feedback changed the game for me.
04.09.2025 21:49 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 01 feedback = 1 rewrite.
Last week I kicked off a product beta.
Intentions going in:
- No expectations on outcomes
- Be hyper-curious
- Donβt overthink a single piece of feedback

Stoked to learn, fail, and grow on this exploration for viability. Shoutout to my peeps joining in on the action π«Άπ»
I've got a few spots left for extra-special takers interested π
Launching my first beta feels good! Self-imposed deadlines, milestones, and daily/weekly goals really help, especially with #Linear. Yup, it even slays for personal use.
27.08.2025 19:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I remember my first marketing blast.
Pretty well, actually. It was 10 minutes ago. With perhaps the smallest contact list #HubSpot has ever seen.

Kudos to @notion.com for elevating the snappiness of their product. It used to love it despite the sluggishness but now everything feels instant ππ»
19.08.2025 23:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm a sucker for shortcuts and macros. Probably a relic from my gaming days (WoW anybody?)
The slash commands to quickly add a header, table of contents, or turn anything into anything else just can't be beat.
A great mobile experience is crucial, too, of course.
A long table of contents in Notion for planning out a new product
How do you start your new products? Hereβs how I do it.
Open #notion and dump those thoughts, baby!
With all the swirling thoughts mapped out, core decisions made, and big questions opened and answered (quickly with AI), it's easy to dive in.

Lots of things to love about this practice -
But Apple Notes ainβt one of βem.
2 days in, I knew Iβd make my own tailor-made tool. One that felt just rightππ»
And if I can help bring this act of self-love to others - dream come true

So what have I wanted to build all year?
βͺβͺβͺ
I'm travelin w a new friend. His prolific storytelling inspires me so much that I bought Storyworthy by @matthewdicks.bsky.social on the spot
It's a game-changing read that gave me a simple, daily habit:
Capturing my life's moments in a trusty place
Join me in the search for authentic craft and growth, #bootstrap with AI agents, and sustainable fun.
Letβs rock π€π»
So hereβs the deal - Iβm going to build something that enriches my life, something I love to use. And if Iβm lucky, maybe you will, too.
Iβll share the journey here with you. The bits, the lols, the fails, the polls. And if Iβm lucky, Iβll get a laugh or two.
After much resistance, I leaned in to an idea thatβd been calling me all year.
It would be a novel experience. A creative outlet. Something Iβd be proud of β and for the long run.
Months later, I opened back up to my craft. I was feeling excited about tech again! I started discovery on what might come next.
Now I know Iβll make many products along the way - #AI makes it easier than ever.
The hard part is deciding where to start!
I took my time. I wanted to cleanse the baggage of #burnout, shake the habits that no longer served me.
Opening my time and heart to inspiration and philosophy I couldnβt prioritize before.
I wanted to create spaciousness for any calling. I would be still beyond comfort.
In May, I quit the company I built from the ground up. Iβd never worked anywhere so long or so hard.
It was a dream job. I was there from day one. In good company β among friends.
But Iβd lost the drive, the mission, and the enthusiasm to evangelize.
Four years of building a #startup. Then suddenly I walked away - burnt out and craving another direction.
I stopped cold turkβπ¦ I listened to my gut. I dove into the kitchen sink of self-care.
Now Iβm making something Iβve wanted all year. #buildInPublic #IndieDev #IndieHacker
