The White Sox landed two today.

Kyle Teel (No. 25) and Braden Montgomery (No. 59) were squarely inside the Top 100 to end 2024.

I can see that. If it’s any consolation, I’d trust the Pirates to find/develop more pitching to replace the depth they just lost. There also isn’t a ton of hitting depth close in proximity so perhaps that’s why they felt they needed to do it.

Guardians Flip Spencer Horwitz To Pirates For 3 Pitchers Shortly after acquiring Spencer Horwitz from the Blue Jays, the Guardians traded him to the Pirates for three interesting pitchers.

This is a fun trade. The Pirates really need steady + productive bats. But I have long enjoyed Luis Ortiz. And Cleveland is a good org for both Hartle and Kennedy.
