On the second fossil fuel crisis of this decade (and likely to be worse than the last, fair to say), a few small thoughts

First: global oil demand would be so much lower without climate delay, fossil corruption, oversized SUVs, western overconsumption. Everyone who pushed these holds responsibility

What if the reason that Israel started the war against Iran ”early” was that the Iran leadership had planned to agree to the USA negotiation proposal? It such a move would have been announced by Iran, Israel could not as easily have dragged USA into the conflict.

Självklart är det så. Men det räcker inte att vara på gator och torg. Fler behöver engagera sig i den osexiga delen av demokratin. Dvs sitta i nämnder och styrelser, ta hand om det vardagliga politiska arbetet och delta i arbetet med att vi får de cykelbanor och den kollektivtrafik klimatet kräver

Självklart press. Men om man sedan inte röstar på politiker som vill göra något är det tyvärr inget värt. Och i förra valrörelsen fanns det många inom klimatrörelsen som inte insåg konsekvenserna av en SD-styrd regering. Även om ingen politiker (ännu) är tillräckligt bra, är inte alla lika illa.

Det krävs en stark opinion som trycker på. Men i det system vi har blir det ingen förändring om det saknas politiker som förvandlar folkopinionen till lagar och regler. Valet 2022 visade tydligt misstaget med att hävda att ”alla politiker är lika illa”.
