Oh and for something a bit different try Bishops Wine Bar. It's kind of like being in someone's front room but it has a bar in the middle of it. And a a cat. And its at the bottom of an office block opposite a dying shopping centre. Great for people watching.

For the real Croydon pub experience drink a pint under the flyover in the front garden of The Royal Standard. Or go visit the pub cats at The Oval.

Will you be going inside Sanderson's? I really want to see the stained glass!

Really interesting read, my ex partner is from Peterlee and I remember visiting some of the old colliery villages maybe 20 years ago. They were pretty sad looking then, but seeing them in this state, is very depressing.

Something pretty exciting happened, the London Clay record is being released by La Vida Es Un Mus. No release date yet but things are moving....

Ella Kruglyanskaya at Thomas Dane - contemporary painting of a woman in pink broad strokes against a dark background, sitting on a striped monochrome cushion, with a broken lute and two apples. Kim Yun Shin at Lehmann Maupin/No 9 Cork Street - a strong geometric painting in bold shades of green/blue/red/yellow. The pattern features squares, lines and diamonds, reminiscent of trellis and tower blocks.
