Braving the freezing cold at the weekend to gather more signatures for our campaign to Transform Democracy on South Tyneside. There was a really good response, with many people totally fed up with the council leadership.

Metro station poster advertising university research impact about fires in California

I’m all for ‘getting our research out there’ …but I’m not sure how much impact/ meaning/ resonance this will have with Tyneside Metro users. *I* can decipher the ‘language of REF’… but it’s still v opaque.

Lots of ‘exciting’ words but less meaning!

This weekend, we're launching a borough-wide petition. When we get 5% of registered voters to sign, the council will have to call a referendum on a return to the committee system of governance and abide by the result. Watch this space for progress!
