Somehow I only remember that I have this godsdamn account on average once a month. To be fair, I also only ever posted on my X account on average once every three months unless I was deeply absorbed with Critical Role shenanigans.

Saw the stage version of Wicked, and man it was crazy being forcefully reminded just how much some of those songs have been THE anthems for my social and love life these past years. Hearing them in the original context made them hit home again in a way that somehow hearing them in the movie did not.

I still have some trust issues, and I feel a drive to be an exemplary rule-follower more than I perhaps should be at work, and I'm still learning to accept that I might actually be undiagnosed forcibly high-functioning ADHD...but I'm not who I was around the toxic people I used to be in love with.

Like...I actually have social energy. I'm not fucking burnt out by my job. I (mostly) look forward to going to work each workday, and even when I'm not looking forward to it, it's usually because of the specific schedule and not the job or the work itself. I'm not tired of people in general now.

A lot of it emotionally has been slowly coming to terms with heartbreaks and heartaches. Learning not to blame myself as much as I used to for other people's shitty behaviour. Levering myself past toxicity and coping better with rejection. Realizing that I can be more than just a ghost of the past.

I think a large part of it, too, is just...being *happier*. I still have plenty of moments where I feel awful because of being reminded of people who used and manipulated me for years in and after college, but...I'm finally able to feel okay about myself. Or at least more okay than I did back then.

Every once in a while I'm reminded of how deadass depressed I used to be during 2020-2024. And then I'm also reminded of just how much of that was me being fucking chronically exhausted and dealing with horrible self-image due to undetected medical issues. Feels weird being physically better now.

Ha, during the entire lake date scene I was wondering if there was going to be some kind of "pure water washes away the love spell" plot twist. I actually kinda love that they subverted the usual trope by having him not reveal it to be true until the pre-coronation carriage ride.

You know, if it weren't for the fact that I know this is a DIsney movie, it feels like there's so much subtext that I almost would've expected Mal and Evie to end up together, and Ben and Carlos. But sadly I know the endgame is Mal and Ben being together...

Kristin Chenoweth as Maleficent was honestly a stroke of casting genius. She brings an excellent touch of comedy in a story where the great villains of story are just washed-up oldsters, but still conveys an undertone of danger that I hope remains throughout the film.

YouTube has been really getting pushy on trying to suggest the Disney Descendants series to me lately so I decided to give the first movie a try (despite feeling it's just gonna be a cringefest) and right off the bat it is super crazy seeing Keegan Connor seeing as she was *also* in Once Upon a Time

Been playing Marvel Spider-Man a bunch here over winter break and having gotten into Act III with the city falling apart with escaped convicts running amok and Sable Security hating me…it’s REALLY hitting home that I am *helping the cops* as Spidey. Not gonna lie, giving me a bit of an ick by now.
