I like The Empty Cup Oracle by Stasia Burrington. Cards are familiar nouns (knot, broom, stinging nettle, concentric circles, ancestors) each of which you bring your own meaning to. The art is simple and lovely and the deck is not weighed down with overt religious or spiritual overtones.

A friend of mine told me there was a moment where you called for a roll, to which Lou responded "...What?!" and that it blew him away. He insisted I listen. I just caught up to this point and was not disappointed. I'm so impressed by y'all's storytelling and ability to give weight to characters.

Really appreciated this review! I've encountered one of the players out in the wild (Kaylie) and she's an absolute treat.

Sometimes you're running a chase through a casino and the villain breaks a giant aquarium to add an obstacle and then you discover that one of your PCs can talk to fish and get a song worthy of Patti LuPone out of it.

Perfectly normal RPG things, right?

Trying to come up with wording for prophecies that sound specific enough for players to think they understand fully but leave wiggle room an anaconda could fit through is tricky.

GMs, have any insights that have helped you in this area?

A fun moment following an unhinged improvised song - give the players at your table lots of control over storytelling and you're going to have fun moments where everyone is surprised!
