Maybe you need diapers. In fact, there is no maybe anymore: You need diapers.

But that doesn't make you a baby. I mean, you might still be mama's baby... but that's different.

Needing a little help doesn't mean you're any less mature, and asking for it can ne a sign of maturity!

This was honestly unexpected. You thought she suggested diapers because she saw you as a baby.

On some level, maybe you'll always be "her" baby, but you're not A baby.

Now here she was, praising you as mature for... doing the exact things you were afraid would get you infantilized.

You did it. You asked her. She had some questions, and you remained firm. You still need pullups, just for daytime.

It makes enough sense to her. If you aren't gonna be able to focus on making it, because you're at school or asleep, of course you'd need extra protection.

You stop yourself mid-thought.

"Diapers shouldn't just be for school". The embarrassment that thought brings aside, you realize... they AREN'T. You can... still wear pullups during the day. Outside of school. And diapers to bed...

I mean, you sleep better in them, so why would momma say no?

You just now realized that maybe, just maybe, you should be wearing diapers to bed. Not pullups. Not training pants. Diapers.

But momma's order of pullups for you arrive today....

Grah! That's not FAIR. Diapers shouldn't just be for school...

Then you catch yourself.

Morning two and three saw you feeling more and more rested.

No more parched throat in the morning, or the faint beginnings of a headache.

No rush to get changed to prevent leaks. You could lie in...

Well, it's hard not to think of how much this sucks.

Evidently more than you'd have liked to admit.

The first day you still woke up, sure, as did you the second. But on both you fell asleep again.

The third say you... aren't sure. You think you may have, but not fully, and just went back to sleep.

Ever since you started trying to keep dry through the night, you've gained so many routines.

Not drinking anything after a 6. Getting up early in the morning. Waking up in the middle of the night to pee... and change.

But you figured you didn't need to while diapered, so what could two days hurt?

Your pullups arrive, and you can finally be... annoyed?
Frustrated. Irritated. Really rubbed the wrong way.

The first night way kinda awkward. Mama changed you right after dinner. It went alright, though.

The second and third days, however, and what bothered you.

She says she'll order them, but it may take some time before she can, and they can get here. There's a pack of pullups left in the hallway closet, so those will hafta do.

And of course they ran out before a restock. 3 days before.

So, mama suggests, and you don't really have many options...

What happened to your pullups? She was supposed to restock...

Well, according to mama, she went on the store's site to do it and found your new diapers had a bulk discount, so went for that and it completely slipped her mind you needed pullups!

Wow. Go figure.

A month later, a familiar package appears in your closet. Mama says that it's best you use them now, as that first leak wasn't the last. 3 in 4 weeks is enough to consider extra steps...

Honestly, you're just relieved you don't hafta ask for them yourself. But, still, one thing weighs on your mind.

Mama, of course, had heard all about it. She wasn't mad, nor upset, she handled it all very matter-of-factly.

She said she'll make sure that doesn't happen again, and that she'll start to triple check your tapes. Alright, well...

You flop onto your beanbag chair, and just decompress.

With only a couple periods left, you decide it'll be fine. You can make it.

You're sent away to return, new diaper and a loaner uniform on.

It all goes fine. Everything is fine. You recovered. You were pretty distracted in class after, but... it was all fine.

Apparently mama already gave her the go ahead to change you if needed. Go figure, more duplicity. Well, better this than the alternative...

The moment it was pulled between your legs you could feel the difference. This thing is thicker, noticeably so, and it's still dry...

Until you saw the pack.

The colours are different, the design on the packaging is...

They ordered the night time version? They HAVE a night time version?

The nurse shook you from these thoughts by asking if you can change yourself. After the leak, you're not so sure anymore.

Now it's time for more good news. She had diapers in your size, and the colour you like!

Your mama let them know, and they were able to get some stocked just in case.

You can't believe she'd do that, but any sense kf betrayal you'd feel is overwritten by the relief that followed.
