Not to make light of this whatsoever because this is egregious, but that's a lot of work for something that could be reordered on Amazon.

So when men say they don't share their feelings because they'll be "weaponized," "misunderstood," "ridiculed," or "judged," look at the women around you. We share the same fears, but it doesn't stop us from doing the emotional work.

Your lack of communication is hurting YOU.

I often have this conversation with my husband. Women put their feelings on the line daily. We risk being rejected, dismissed, misunderstood, ignored, and yet we still rise to the emotional occasion. It's the price of communication. Everyone has to pay for admission. It's human.

Also, can we talk about the lack of visibility of women being held in ICE custody from media outlets. It really gives the appearance that only men are being deported and/ or these women are inconsequential bc even in this instance the patriarchy is hard at work.

At 42, I've come to realize that feeling lost is a rite of passage. Everyone gets to this point in life, where they evaluate everything, feel stuck, and disappointed with where they are in life.

Lean in to this moment. It's ok to have no plan. The best shit comes from stillness. ❤️

"Strategic advantage of bringing in expertise from abroad" is a real fancy way of saying slavery.

They are OBSESSED with trans people, and it's getting weirder every single day.

Trans people aren't thinking about you. They just want to live a peaceful, normal life. If you want to come out, just say that! Leave these people alone

I remember coming home from the hospital after having my child and feeling sheer terror over this big responsibility I had over this little life.

It amazes me how little regard children are shown. They need more protection, not less.

Hard agree. Those who refuse to contend with the people in their lives who are racist uphold the system. It's how we got here.

If you can still break bread with your racist brother and there are 0 consequences for it, there is no reason for him to unpack it. Racism is not a personal character flaw.

Many want to be comforted and entertained by black people, but do not respect us or think we are worthy of leading or even being treated as valuable peers. And that's where a disconnect occurs. Because what reason do I have to comfort someone who essentially views me--a fellow human being--as a pet?

Every time I open this app, I am in mourning. I miss the days when social media was fun.

The world is falling apart all around us, yet we have no place to go for even a minor mental reprieve 😩
