@lucymcbath.com's Gun Violence Awareness Month Panel. Gun violence prevention is a big priority of mine, and there is much work to do to make our state safer. Thank you Rep. McBath, Rep. Au, Dr. Randi Smith, and Brent Bailey.

It was an honor to speak at today’s groundbreaking of the transformational Village at Legacy in Decatur. This is an incredible milestone in our shared effort to build a more inclusive and sustainable community. Big thanks to the City of Decatur and the Decatur Housing Authority.

Any violence toward those protesting Trump’s wanna-be dictatorship or his political opponents is acceptable, just like Jan 6th. Add in the paranoia encouraged on the right and the bazillion guns Republicans have given us=🧨

I am deeply disturbed and saddened by the targeted killings of Rep Melissa Hartman and husband, and shooting of Sen. Hoffman and wife, in a politically motivated attack. The assassin will be brought to justice— but Americans need to speak with ONE voice denouncing the murders.

I am proud to serve as a panelist at @mcbath.house.gov's Gun Violence Awareness Month Panel Discussion. This issue is heavy on my heart always, and I am excited to share about our work around gun violence prevention at the state Capitol.

So grateful to my team for helping me throughout the 2025 Legislative Session. I am blessed to have the best legislative team in the Capitol! Chief of Staff Ellen Williams, Legislative Assistant Paige Terhune, legal intern Albert Giovanazzi, and our college interns Kai Ward and Lauren Peterson! The Senate adjourned Sine Die three hours early last night. Fine by me— more than enough bad bills had already made it across the finish line, along with some good ones.
