The last couple of weeks have managed to really kill any enjoyment I get off of Twitter. I don’t remember the last time I was scrolling on that app and didn’t exit it filled with rage.
So here’s hoping this place is less toxic and awful

He LOVES throwing me at a problem & letting me figure it out cuz he knows I HATE it but I also THRIVE in that kind of chaos 😂
Tbc he’s awesome but he likes me to really get into the problem & THEN we meet & he helps me work through the solution
But fuck man, next 3 months are gonna be INTENSE

So I’m talking with my current Team Lead (who I’ll be taking over for end of Oct) & we’re both very excited about me getting the job. THEN she hits me with “I told Manager that when the new TL gets hired I’m just going to do what they tell me to & he loved that”

When you hear the sound on TikTok… and it gives you an idea… And that idea makes you feel like you need to preemptively apologize…
So yeah… sorry!

Somehow ended up on “my 2yo is undoing their car seat buckles! HELP!” side of TikTok.
And I’m feeling very grateful that my 4yo has never done that & in fact just this week I’ve taught him to do up his own buckles but he’s completely incapable (at this point) of undoing them. So thank fuck for that🙏🏼

Con: today wasn’t a good day & we struggled as a family. And before bed he asked me “are you gonna talk to your brain dr about today mama? I think she’d help so we can work together better. That’s cooperation” (a new word from school 😂)

My kid is aware that mama has a “brain dr who helps her work on her emotions”. I try to be honest, but age appropriate, with him so he doesn’t grow up thinking mental health struggles are shameful.
Pro: he’s 4 & we’re able to have good conversations about his feelings

I love that I’ve found my people “just out of curiosity, has anyone data mined for this info?” And three different people are like “not yet but I will” 😂

He used it in perfectly grammatically correct way to indicate a thing that started in the past and is still happening now… it also happens to be the exact way to talk about something that happened in the past and ended… so I’m convinced he’s doing it to cause chaos
