Though it was an easy and interesting enough job for a while to help him get back on his feet, but then came the realization that the store had cloes ties to the Tyger Claws. They likely used as a front for money laundering, smuggling, or something else shady he wanted to be no part of.

A small story for this: I mentioned before, Vince is not a fighter, but he underwent combat training at Arasaka. His gun of choice even throughout his merc career is therefore the Arasaka JKE-X2 Kenshin tech pistol.

This is how Vince eventually ended up in data analysis and an agent in the CI department under Jenkins. He still gets to do some netrunning now and then, but mostly in secured environments, running simulations with other agents in preparation for bigger operations. (3/3)

Vince once had an opportunity to become a full-time netrunner for Arasaka - but it would have meant massively upgrading and expanding his cyberware to a degree he was not comfortable with. Jenkins had originally recruited him because of his hacking skills, so he wanted to keep him as an asset. (2/3)
