I would keep her in the garage until I figured out some sort of solution, even it it was just keeping her out there until I was able to rehome her with someone who could take on an additional cat. I wouldn't want to just let her out the door, either.

This is my favorite thing Drew has ever made. I read it page-by-page as he was writing it, a couple times when he was laying it out and proofreading it, and probably 4 or 5 more times since then. Everything he's made since Veins has been a victory lap, IMO.

I read a lot of hermetic philosophy etc. it's pretty dry if you're not committed to the bit. I recommend DuQuette if people are interested in reading about stuff like that, because he's #1 at making those topics an enjoyable read. I prob have more books by Regardie than any other single author.

What kind of book are you trying to hack through? Is it just too opaque?

I don't let myself feel obligated to finish a book. I read because I like it, and if I don't like the book, there are a million other ones I will like more. My to-read pile is so fucking huge, though, I can't lose time trying to slog through something that's not speaking to me.
