Ya I'm not excited about Banjo Bowl. LDC is always a shit show and I always expect a loss. BB is gonna be ugly... I can hear the boos already. I'm flying home for the whole week in between them so I'll be in Winnipeg for both games. At least I'll be with kindred spirits! Ha ha.

It's a home Grey Cup year. They absolutely can not let this thing fall apart completely and not even make the playoffs. I believe in Wade Miller's ability to fix just about any problem. I remain hopeful that it's not too late to find a solution. 3/3

The secondary isn't THAT far off, but they've given up more explosion plays through 8 games than I can remember in a whole season. The D is closer to fixed than the O... By a lot. I'm concerned that a rookie OC is having trouble. It might be time to let Various Jackson step up and take over. 2/

I'm about the biggest Bombers fan you will ever meet. I follow this stuff very very intensely. But I have no problem saying that this team is really really bad in certain spots. The OL isn't good enough and it might be the worst receiving corps in the league. 1/

First world problems, I know, but this is honestly one of my biggest pet peeves. I can't stand the lack of respect our game gets ESPECIALLY within a city that has a team!

Measles Spreads Quickly in Rural Alberta Areas That Resisted Vaccines

The virus is spreading in insular Mennonite communities. But the broader population is vulnerable as vaccine rates have fallen across the Canadian province since the Covid-19 pandemic.

As of today, 3% of Manitoba’s land mass has burned this fire season.

The total burn this wildfire season in this province is 16,735 square kilometres.

That’s equivalent to three Prince Edward Islands.

I don’t care what this adds to Canada’s deficit. Fund those scientists up here. Build whatever they need.

When Evans picks up the hammer, I thought the roof would come off the place. I've never experienced anything in a theatre like that.

Back to back weeks.... I think I'm officially embarrassed by this Bombers team. No excuses. We're just absolute shit. A steaming diaper. In a GC hosting year? Wade won't stand for this. Changes will be made.

It's been amazing to spend the last couple of days in my hometown, but it comes with a certain level of depression, because I know I have to leave and go back to my job two provinces over. I think if I lived and worked within a day trip from here, I wouldn't want for much more in life. #ShieldKid

This vintage photo shows a nighttime city street, likely mid-20th century. A large brick building glows with red neon outlines and a prominent "EATONS" sign, indicating Eaton's department store. Festive lights form swirls, stars, and flowers across the facade and street, evoking holiday cheer.

To the left is a "Woolworth" store with blue signage and window displays. The wet street reflects lights, with few pedestrians and a Christmas tree visible. Background includes taller buildings with "EATONS" and "BMO" signs. The image has a warm, grainy nostalgic feel, watermarked "GRP" in the corner.

There was a time when everyone in Winnipeg shopped at "The Big Store".
With a staff of 8,000, it covered 21 acres.
On a busy day, 10% of Winnipegers shopped there and 50 cents of every shopping dollar was spent there.
This is the story of Eaton's Winnipeg store.

Couldn't be more excited about this. I've recently taken to watching Gordon's YT vids for MHS. While I should have been busy working just now, I "wasted" at least a half hour going through the app's tidbits about my beloved Pinawa/SSF/Whiteshell area....
