We're in for a very difficult time, both at home and abroad, as we continue to demonstrate our disdain for international and domestic law we're only making it harder for ourselves and for the world to place the trust in us that is necessary for activities both at home and overseas.

What comes next; nation-building, reputation salvaging, trust-gathering, all of these things are incredibly hard and when it comes to a lawless state like the United States nearly impossible to do successfully and speedily.

I'm hoping that the Trump Admin manages to prove me wrong but the most complex things about the clowns in the White House are the layers of criminality that each of them is guilty of.
When it comes to regime change killing the people you hate is only the simplest part of it.

The Trump Administration is categorically incapable of successfully executing an operation this staggeringly complex, and our track record of pulling off things this multifaceted is zero successes out of multiple attempts all over the world.

I'm still keeping my eyes on Iran, even amid a sea of other things both in my personal life and in the wider world.
A successful regime change operation is notoriously difficult to pull off and requires an incredible amount of coordination, support, and thoughtful moves in a variety of arenas.

The American healthcare system doesn't work. Not in terms of results but in terms of access. I have no idea what we're gonna do (I'm almost certainly gonna do a GFM over the week but for an amount I just can't imagine raising via GFM). This shit blows.

I got my hospital bill yesterday. My surgery, in total, will cost more than I made last year and that's AFTER over 2/3rds of it was slashed. It is a devastating, for me unthinkable, amount of money for a simple surgery that went well. My family is helping cover the cost & it's still too much.

Apparently Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader of Iran, is dead. I'm not nearly well-versed enough in Iranian politics to have an informed opinion on this and will refrain from offering much commentary other than to note his (apparent) death.

New reports suggest the DOJ hid dozens of Epstein files alleging Trump sexually abused minors.

This includes three interviews with a woman who said Trump "forced her head down to his exposed penis" when she was just 13.

This isn't the MOST disunified time in our country's history (we infamously had a civil war) but we're not in anyway, shape, or form, a unified country. Any attempt to spin the current state of our union as a positive would involve frankly unearthly levels of propagandistic gaslighting.

The state of the union address is tonight. And the state of the union is pretty dismal. I've never seen our country less unified and people more divided than I do right now. It's... pretty rough.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani is again flooding the airwaves and social media with snappy videos of himself in a custom Carhartt jacket, warning New Yorkers to stay safe. He is again holding news conferences at the city’s emergency operations headquarters, surrounded by top aides in outerwear bearing agency emblems. And he is again at the helm of a government operation that, by virtue of its complexity and general unwieldiness, can lend itself to people falling through the cracks.

The tone of contempt here, in a news update, is disgraceful. "How dare Mamdani and his team...uh...wear those clothes and use social media to try to prevent bad things from happening when...um...bad things could still happen in a situation like this!" GTFO.

This is not a surgery with a long recovery time, and some people are back to normal stuff a few days after surgery. I don't think my recovery will be THAT fast, but I'm definitely starting to creep towards my old energy levels.

I'm pretty alright atm. There's a LOT of stiffness and it's much harder to move than I'd like but in all honesty I'm feeling better and more normal with each passing day.

My pain meds are especially handy but they are also fairly discombobulating so I dislike using them very often. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon for immediate followup.

I've gone on walks of various lengths every day (including Friday, which might have been a little too fast lmao) and am using my meds as needed and as ordered (only one is "take this every day").

Recovery update:
I got back home on Friday and spent the weekend with Jessica and my mom. I'm still in pretty significant pain but thanks to years of enduring pain and health stuff I'm still pretty active.

The "group of people" in question are the framers of the constitution.

I'm alright, recovering, but oh my god my dudes. Easily the worst pain I've been in, in 2026. This blows.

This year has been extremely lax so far in terms of health stuff but Jesus Christ that sucked. Ugh.

I am used to existing in a state of mild discomfort 100% of the time. I was in that state until earlier today when I was suddenly smashed in the face with a wave of overwhelming nausea and pain that forced me to take some medicine, sit down in the shower, and just ride out the worst of the pain.

I think my favorite part of having chronic health issues is how they mix with the fact that humans are pretty flexible and adaptive.
