Haunted Polar Bears: Art & the Arctic β Redacted Museum
One place you donβt expect to be at the mercy of the polar bear is in an exam hall at Royal Holloway, University of London.
Art history is social history and I will die on that hill. Read my latest blog on how the missing Franklin Expedition affected contemporary portrayals of the arctic in the 19th century. Also haunted polar bears. π»ββοΈ

Anyone have any tips for getting a foot in the door in heritage work? I've been applying for almost two years, weekend job at the front desk at my local museum, picking up placements and volunteering in an archive but can't even get an interview - feel like I'm on a blacklist!

Reporter on the ground Lidija Black tackles the imposing shadow of Lyme Park.
One of my first and favourite blogs! I live down the road from Lyme Park in Stockport and often stop by for a coffee or walk through on a hike. Well worth a visit!
