Love this. Going in deep with different shape represetations that stray so far from the ref is pretty intimidating. I wouldnt mind taking a class that really pushes me out of my comfort zone in that way.

I've grown up among evangelicals who share testimonies of "overcoming porn addiction". I was one of these people. Being horny is a natural feeling, but I'm told that porn is bad.

I'm not the problem. It's the porn.

But I'm no expert or anything. A wise youtuber once told me to have fun with my art so, I just try to follow that fun.

Also, doing things like storyboarding classes that require a scene pushed me to get back in that headspace. Also, writing down all the random little dumb fun ideas that you can go back to helped as well.

For a long time i had tons of ideas that i had no ability to bring to fruition. When i focused more on how to make things it got me away from the part of me that just had fun coming up with those ideas.

Making things that don't have a "productive" benefit just for me helped i think.

Remember, pornographers have always been on our side. Brave, ready to fight for our rights. Smut is our friend.

Smudge and roughs overlayed

Spent 15 minutes roughly sketchin @opalispeachy.bsky.social and ended up with a decent example of how I stack, then merge ,layers of alternating roughs and smudge blending.

Pretty much everything I do is repeating this basic process, refining as a go.

Wat! Do you mess with the layer blend modes at all?

I have like 10 layers and like 3 or more different blend modes. I have tried a more painterly method but all on a single layer. Gotta try this out. Thanks!
