There was definitely lumping, and you've ignored the fact that at least one commander is retiring early and an unnamed JAG officer was relieved under what seems like prejudice for refusing to sign off on the strikes. It doesn't have to be a hill to die on, just adjust and move on.

I would point out it's not really fair to blame the entire country for something that by nature was conducted by an extremely limited number of people with an extremely limited budget. There is no country that's a monolith. The reason it's *Saudi* Arabia is one family.
