Spending $16 & change to get treated like trash was not on my BINGO card for last night. But? I was so fucking mad that I wrote for a collective three hours between then & now. The most I've written all month. And it's good. ♥️ But that's not the point of this post. What I want to express is this: Make your frustration worth something & never take being treated like shit. Standing up for yourself is hard—especially if you present as female. Folks expect you to be docile. Complacent. To just accept bad behavior. They especially expect this from me because I'm polite as shit. Pleasant as fuck. Etc. But I will not stand to be talked down to, disrespected, or gaslit by fucking ANYONE. EVER. Never the fuck again. Do I still deserve an apology I'll never get? Yup. But the person who treated me like shit and then had the audacity to look me in the eye and say, "I'm not being rude," is never gonna do that. However, I never have to walk into that restaurant again, & I've got a nice, fresh, juicy piece of fiction on my hands. Call it a win. 🖤
