3/Meanwhile, there’s an older Spanish dude with a HUGE American flag baseball cap traveling with what I presume is his family and he’s trying to talk to EVERYONE and is warning people (through a translator) to make sure to add french fries when ordering a burger with the self-service kiosk.

2/Right when I’m considering approaching them just to say I appreciate hearing their accents, one says to the other, “Oh gosh, we sound soo Minnesotan right now”.

I literally have heart eyes for them. 😍

1/Sitting in an airport bar listening to these two ladies with pretty thick Minnesota accents chatting away while comparing stamps they’re going to use for post cards. It’s so incredibly cute.

This is the first time I’ve learned about this speech, it reinforces so many feelings I have about living here as an immigrant.

Watching replays of the #TourdeSuisseWomen and whenever there's an aerial shot I hear the call of the Red-tailed Hawk, a species that doesn't exist in Switzerland.
