So I should start cooking travelling herbs to make them taste better? Maybe I could combine it with prey to make it go down easier and to stop warriors complaining about "having to eat herbs"...

Can you not manipulate the concentrated power of the Stars to set things on fire? Is this not taught to all warriors, yet alone medicine cats? Did Featherwhisker teach me something weirdly?
