Musical world, obviously, stupid. I feel today is when I need to try the Instagram cinnamon rolls in the new shop at the end of my road. Resisted so far because dangerous, but there was much wine.

Had an absolutely fabulous evening interviewing @musicbiographer.bsky.social about his book on Stiff records at Portsmouth library last night. Even better was the sesh in the pub after putting the musical works to rights. I’d love to do more of this please universe?

Brilliant. I had a hangover, finished the packet and just said ‘enough’. Used lozenges for a week or so but they were a crutch more than anything. Had smoked for the same amount of time.

A year ago today I smoked my last cigarette. No vaping no nothing. Never been more proud - I had reached a point I was boring myself with talk of quitting, it was time to just bloody do it.

Ouch! I was one of those David Quantick was writing about, worshipped him in the 80s (although Marr was my real hero) but found myself increasingly at odds with him. Always loved the acid though.

As journalists working today many of us are taught to recognise disinformation when we see it and fight back against it.

Lovely to wake up to a bit of war, really helps the hangover settle. Fuck Trump and Israel.

Very happy to see Matt there but I’m not a Wareing fan. Hearing good things though do may need to retry.

I do spend most editions wishing I could eat it - some are style over substance but others look so lush.

Why is it problematic? I’m interested, I have issues with the way they treat veggie/vegan cookery (and I’m neither). Do love the show though.
