This is really encouraging because I'm in the process of changing industries. I'd like to move my RDT&E acquisitions experience to the world of entertainment media, but I'd also like to branch into it in other ways that I felt conflict with the legal biz side. I've not seen much backlash, but what there is, I think, comes down to shipping wars. As it always does 👻 Bc of the phrasing, if you tilt your head one way, it reads like it is setting up for exploring future events, but if you tilt your head the other way it reads like it'll explore past events.

Yeah I didn't think it'd be where he falls on the spectrum. He doesn't seem ignorant of lowgrade seduction (that baby talk he threw at Vox omg), but to me he seems like someone who just never really thought about sex or sex appeal as anything more than a waste of time, or a tool at most.

On the flip side, not necessary to his character, but it'd also be interesting to see any fictional character represent the other end of the A spectrum: who lovvve sexual intimacy, but are never attracted to anybody, and the issues that can arise from that, especially in holding out for attraction.

I'm glad you have an outlet for letting your characters out of your head and into the real world, though. I imagine they take up a lot of space, but to have that door, a way to have their stories told, I'm sure helps.

Men, especially in traditional male roles such as husband or father, are too frequently whittled down to punching bags and comedic relief in entertainment media. Don't get me wrong, he's had some great scenes, but the scales mb tipped a bit far in this direction. I'm excited to see his arc in S3!

It was an amazing evening, the energy and love, the community and excitement. The thunderous music and surreal lighting and pure talent of the performers, and all the hard work of dozens of people behind the scenes. What a joy to see it immortalized on video.

Just because a creator says something is complicated and sad doesn't necessarily mean that will even be shown. Background lore and story can still be real without being fully depicted. Anyway, who's to say what's complicated or not until the show is finished? I think S2 fucking rocks so far 💖

Viv brought up the song specifically as seeming to be a problem, as if it is trying to pass itself off as canon, and I've not seen that, so that's all I was addressing.

And regarding the new song in particular 🤔 It doesn't reveal anything nobody's already thought of, so I guess I don't see the problem with the song.. I'm pretty sure the events in the video are already the most common Alastor-backstory-theory in the fandom, and have been for a long time.

Well, they're simply mistaken, they'll learn. Fanworks might get some things right, but nothing is canon unless it's in show, and even then you have unreliable narration. I think fanworks are great, there's a lot of talent out there. Can't blame creators for making fun theories and good content IMO.

..🫣 they actually never asked us, or anyone I saw, to sign anything, they just checked our tickets and told us where the merch was on the way in. Outside they made an "NDA announcement" but that was only to say not to use our phones, they never actually told us not to talk about the content :(
