It's also ok to have your OWN spin on lore. Not everything has to be 100% "canon" or in keeping with lore. Like, writers and creators retcon their own canon all the time. So do your own thing, make your own spin on existing lore. It may feel more personal when you do so.

I suppose I could dig it back up again, see if it still holds up enough to be some kind of game framework but I don't know jack shit about making games of any kind. Need to find all the old notebooks where it's all written down. I was 20 or so when I started it, might look like garbage to me now. 😂

Granted part of my problem with that one is I did all the worldbuilding intending it to be a forum roleplay framework, and my character driven ass never did find a way to turn all that mess into a coherent set of main characters or plot even after a bunch of fighting.

Every so often, when I think I've finally put down that damn werewolf novel I tried to write off and on for over a decade, it floats back into my brain and I sigh and remember that all the dead worlds I've created still live in my brain. Even the terrible ones.

In another universe where Kes failed to talk Astarion out of ascending, I think they might have followed him off that cliff. Probably thinking "this is a bad idea, this is a BAD idea" the whole way... but at some point it became less terrifying than losing him.
