Outrageous, of course. But we need to stop following the lead of the NYT, et. al., in saying "US wants" when in fact it is "Trump wants" or Stephen Miller wants" or "Billionaires want."

As Der Führer says, "Nobody's seen numbers like this before!" Among independents, Trump is underwater by a jaw-dropping 54% and, on his handling of the economy, by 61%. Yes, the midterms are eleven months away, but these numbers indicate a blue tsunami of unprecedented proportions.

Democrats Didn't Cave. They Saved People from Needless Suffering. The Democratic message should be clear: We care about people's pain. Republicans couldn’t care less.

Obviously, ending "Woke AI" wasn't sufficient. He needs to institute "Asleep AI" or "Whatever Trumps Says AI."

Trump doesn't imbibe, but if he did he wouldn't be "sharing a beer" with his followers—-the people he disdains as fools who would support him even if he killed someone in the middle of Fifth Avenue—it would be the most expensive Scotch and, obviously, he wouldn't share it with anyone.

I agree, but not because of the vote to end the Shutdown. Trump has made plain that he cares not about millions of people suffering, Democrats faced a choice between two horrible options. Calling other Dems “the surrender caucus” or "Vichy Democrats" plays into Trump's very weak hand. {MORE ...}

Trump’s care-less attitude towards people’s suffering made the Democrats’ decision on the shutdown agonizing. The most important thing is for Democrats not to blame one another but come together and focus on Trump and the Republicans' complete irresponsibility.

My reaction is it is a tough decision. Letting the shutdown continue would cause great pain to millions of people. That would be blamed on Trump and his party, but should we continue that pain? We need to unite in presenting it as a win and then make it a win by getting the Obamacare extension.
