it makes me cautiously hyped about (potentially) seeing safer seph in r3 (which i'm pretty sure they'll rename, like they did with bizarro/reborn) because historically speaking, all his hair is pushed back for that design
the mtg llustration has bits of his bangs still there, though

if you have them shorter and more closed on the front, (like young seph) he looks very innocent and cute
if you have his bangs frame his face, they make it look long but rounder and more delicate by hiding his jawline, making it almost feminine in a way?
if you push them back, it's very masculine

but his face... his pretty face, the main point of why i'm writing this thread...
i really like how the mood of that can change completely depending on how you arrange his hair, especially his bangs

in fact
the crossed belts over his chest for his his regular uniform also make their own hourglass shape
hourglass within an hourglass, for a character who refuses to die and refuses to let time follow its natural course... interesting

sephiroth's overall design is VERY androgynous
not just his face but also body; you can have a masculine triangle figure with the broad shoulders (made wider by the pauldrons) but whenever he's wearing a coat, you get an hourglass shape too

sure, this event in ec is feeding me greatly, as a zerith and sephgeal enjoyer, but i want to take a moment to consider sephiroth's hair, bc i saw a post of someone pointing out how his face appears more chiseled and masculine when his bangs are pushed away from his face and it got me thinking

i kinda ignored uh... a whole month worth of banners, so my crystals piled up 😅

important observation i noticed: he has his hair brushed back on the side big seph didn't brush his back, as if they're on opposite sides of the same coin here
even if it's not his era's seph, i think it's a neat design detail

the combination of this, going through a chunk of cc again and basking myself in art for comfort is reigniting the creative juices
the writing will return.......
