Pencil drawing of the great hall at Knole, Kent. The great hall formed the nucleus of Archbishop Bourchier's house, the older hall perhaps becoming the kitchen at this time in the mid 15th century. It remained the great hall in the remodelling of the early 17th century. At the same time it was given a screen of columns to disguise the off centre doorway which leads into the screens passage.

Dublins most famous art gallery.

This visit harkens back to the time I was there with a class in NCAD led by Ken Donfield. I had successfully rendered a painting there, chosen from this room, which was completed over a couple of weeks sittings..

There is another phase the artwork goes thru. I add music to suit the piece and insert gifs strategically.

Anchiornis, a small blackish, greyish and brownish-red bird-like dinosaur, perches on a twig singing a happy tune. But not a Christmas tune, because the holidays don't start until next week.

Spent #FossilFriday tweaking my Anchiornis colour reconstruction. The black+white+red intepretation does entirely match the melanosome data recorded for this species, as there's evidence of phaeomelanin (= rufous hues) on the arm, and lots of grey across the body. #paleoart #sciart #paleontology

I had received two free tickets via email. My first time going to Art Source.

We spend the whole evening on the 1st floor, mingling etc.

A space to display on ground floor could cost up to 5k..
