Today is #RareDiseaseDay, a day that’s deeply personal for me.
 
My sister Jackie fought ALS until her passing in 2020. This past week, I joined patients, families & advocates to share details on #AB1887, to end “fail-first” requirements for FDA-approved treatments.
 
We must do better.

Large parts of #AD51 were evacuated during the #PalisadesFire & I’m proud our community stepped up with shelter, food & help navigating insurance claims—but we can’t rebuild alone.

Trump is withholding federal aid from CA. This is shameful & wrong.

Disaster aid should never depend on politics.

Statewide civil rights progress happens when communities organize. As someone who helped build @eqca.bsky.social, I know coordinated advocacy turns priorities into policy.

Smart infrastructure means doing it right the first time.

As Santa Monica Blvd is repaved, we should close a dangerous gap by building the “Ohio to Ohio” protected bike connection now — not a decade from now.

As I said, “Pavement rehabilitation is not a neutral intervention.”
