I’ve become so addicted to audiobooks I’m considering using audible credits for a series I already own physical books for. I’ve already given away so many books but this series is likely out of print and I’d like to hold onto it.

It’s a free app and it doesn’t push me to buy on Amazon. Haven’t done that in a decade. I don’t typically write reviews and when I do they’re more for my own memory than anyone else’s benefit.

Anyway, suggestions?

I tried storygraph, but I didn’t like it. Too much data I don’t need or want and frankly the UI is ugly and clunky. My data migrated poorly, too. I also re-read my faves often and it doesn’t account for that well.

It’s not a huge deal if I end up staying until I find something better.

I’d like to divest from as much Bezos owned products as possible, but I’m finding it difficult to replace Goodreads. I want an app that
- clean UI
- logs what I’ve read
- scan feature to add books quickly to TBR in the wild
- reading challenge
- import goodreads data easily and correctly

I went to the mall the other day and now I can’t stop thinking about how it looked- and felt to be there- 30 years ago. It’s funny the things you never think you’ll miss. I feel sorry for the zoomers who missed out on the mall third place experience.
