Republicans seek deep cuts to HIV prevention and treatment funding
Cuts proposed by the Trump administration and House Republicans could drive up new HIV cases by more than 200,000 by 2030, one expert projects.
Cutting funding for HIV treatment and prevention is short sighted and will reverse progress that has been achieved through decades of consistent funding and prioritization. We cannot allow this to happen.

That was going to be my question. I’ve accidentally signed PA-C on non-work docs.

A PA friend looked into it and said it was hard to find jobs that would hire American PAs. She’s going to New Zealand next month. There are apparently a lot of PA opportunities there.

I saw a post awhile back that said maybe we all died during COVID and now we’re in Hell. I am starting to agree.

I always thought it was because of the tornados (hence the name storm door). We don’t really get them there I’m at now. I just hated the idea of opening the door for someone and there’s no barrier there.

We had them growing up in Michigan. My house in Texas didn’t have them (or screens on the windows) so we installed them.

That makes sense. I was actually just talking to my dog trainer about how there’s not a big difference between 2-3 dogs but when you get to 4 it feels like you have 8. I would imagine it’s the same with kids, maybe worse?

An MRI image of the cervical spine showed a large disc protrusion severely narrowing the right C5 neural foramen.
I appreciate the Radiologist’s use of the arrow but I think even I could see that defect without it 😯

My PA classmates and I are hitting the 11 year mark and a lot of us are talking about getting out of clinical practice.

It is so disappointing that in the year 2025, a physician would ask if I get nervous working with people living with HIV.

Yes it was. The sad thing is, when you search “chlamydia” on the app there is more than just that one.

I was just telling my supervising MD about the Pittfest episodes and how I think more people need to see that reality so maybe we will get some legislative movement.

I’m choosing to believe that was an Easter egg for the ER fans since the writers also worked on ER.

Dr. Robert Romano from the TV show ER wearing blue scrubs. He is standing in the ER with his hands on his hips.
I’m watching The Pitt and when Dr. Robby tells the med students where to stand while they are waiting for the helicopter I immediately thought of Dr. Romano. It’s so hard to not see Noah Wyle as Dr. Carter warning the students because he’s seen what can happen.

Wooden purple egg with a bunny wearing a surgical mask that says “White House Easter Egg Roll 2021” sitting on a letter with White House letter head.
Every Easter I think of the eggs we got as a thank you for our work during the pandemic.
