ive been thinking of a new social mechanic for trpgs

"I'll hold you to that"
- when roleplaying, a player can spend [meta currency] to capture a quote from conversation. later on, they can expend this quote to gain [bonus] to a roll

the idea is to give players access to foreshadowing as bonuses

What I mean is it doesn't sound too different to actual confession taking priests!

Does sound fun.

It is kind of amazing how the Free Archetype variant rules turned Pathfinder/Starfinder 2e from "one of my favorite TTRPG systems" to "my favorite TTRPG system". The sheer variety and ease in which I made exactly the characters I want is just so great! I don't feel boxed in!
